It's the Old West, and he's a patron at a saloon in Tombstone while under the protection of the Earps - where guns had to be checked at the bar upon entry!  He forgot his gun and went back, sat down at the bar and asked for it back!

A womand tells some children to do something.  All of them ignore her except one who obeys.  She tells him to go off and sit away from the other children.  He is very frustrated and storms off.

... She was obviously being sarcastic, and one of the children decided to be "smart" and see if they could get away with it using the excuse," But you told me to!" -has seen this happen with his brothers when he was younger... nods-

I'm thinking that she told them to turn something in - like a book - which they were NOT supposed to have, which the one kid DID have, so the one kid thus "got caught in the act" in front of everyone else.

They're playing musical chairs, and when the music stops they all sit down and this child missed out on the last chair so he has to be excluded from the game until it is finished.

This could be any number of things.


1) Are they playing a game?
2) Are they having a competition?
3) Are they doing an exercise? ie. People with two syllables in their surname go over here, people with 3 go over here, things like that)
4) Did the boy do something wrong and thats why he obeyed?
