I guessed this one on vent.

Joe was a circus performer who died.  Bob replaced him, and was shot out of a cannon.

Here's mine.  Explain this:

Bonnie died in the Appalachian Mountains, while Fiona died at sea.  Everyone was much happier with Fiona's death.  Why?

Did one kill the other? No

Did they die at about the same time, like within a few days of each other?  No

Did people hate Fiona for some reason? See above.  No hate, but no love for either of them

Was Bonnie a hero? No

Was either death an accident?  No

Were they human? No!

Were their deaths more than a few years apart?  Not relevant, but I'd say not

Did they kill anyone? Fiona did not. Bonnie perhaps.

Because Fiona died at sea no damage was done by her where as bonnie ran aground and did major structural damage.
