Halo on Laptop
« on: July 10, 2009, 10:09:54 PM »
Hey everyone,

Just got a new laptop and when trying to play Halo Multiplayer it says "You must have Administrator privileges to download this required patch".  I click "ok", then it won't let me play Multiplayer.  I checked, and my user account is setup as an administrator.

I'm running Windows Vista.

Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix?

Thanks.

Right-click halo icon, select properties.   Find compatibility tab.  Check the box that says Runs as Administrator.

If you do that, you may also have to set up vent, xfire, macros and anything else that integrates with it to run as administrator also.

That, or do the update then set it back.
