playing halo CE

ok so i downloaded halo CE but the problem is that i cant play this game. when i try to go in server where is modified map i just get message unable to join server. so i downloaded map manager and got all maps what bfm uses so now i atleast have maps. but still when i try to join in some server i get the same message: unable to join server. so can you help me to get playing? thanks.

Ok, let do this.

So, you said you downloaded the maps. Correct?

Well, make sure you put them in your Halo CE maps Folder.

If you've done that then your fine.

Although, the Map Manager doesn't work for me, so I download the maps individually. I suggest maybe doing that to see what happens.

When it says unable to join game server, then 99.99% of the time, your missing a map.

Also, you do not need a password to get into the server.

well i downloaded maps individually but it wont still work  and i saved them in to the maps folder

Did you unzip them?  They generally are downloaded as .zip files, but need to be in .map format.

I have had problems with Portent for some reason... not sure what's going on, there.

ok now it works thanks. but now when i try to find those bfm maps at halomap.org i cant find them example snowtorn_cove i cant find that map at halomaps and neither other bfm maps. why is this so difficult

Where'd the CE server go? It seems to have disappeared as far as the status-checker on the BFM homepage is concerned...

Visit the map cycle list, then theres a link by batman to all the maps available to download there.

There's a post about this in annoucements or general or something, but the CE server is down until we figure out the lag problem.  Sorry!!!
