This rule...
« on: July 30, 2009, 05:06:08 PM »
Is this really allowed? I've seen more than one person called for it by admins:

8.2.  You may, however, run over an opponent if they pose an immediate threat. For example, if you are solo in a hog, and an enemy is about to get into, or is in, the gunner's turret of a hog, you may swerve to kill him or knock him out of the hog.

[EDIT]Answered by Skedog and Hydra. Thanks guys :)

For those of you wandering about it, anything within a 35 degree angle of your path is legal. (So glue a protractor to your screen! :P)

At least, that is what I was told XD

That is a fair assessment in most cases, however will not work for all of them. Even if you do not kill an opponent, a quick ram and run can be necessary for your survival. As long as you remember that survival is the key to any driving manouver in this case, and this manouvers purpose is to keep you alive and not get kills you are well within your rights. A fine question though. :)

Nrvend is too old. We race in hogs, not wheelchairs.
