Before you go writing off that mobo, DOUBLE-CHECK and triple-check your wiring!
...And make it easier to diagnose by taking EVERYTHING that you connected to your mobo OFF. (Don't "remove" them, just unplug them all.
Q: Did you remove your CPU from your mobo during the process? If so, that's likely your problem. (Also note if you removed your CPU fan....)
You want to have only this: mobo, PSU, ONE stick of memory (in the proper slot for ONE STICK, and a keyboard. THAT'S IT. No graphics card, no monitor, no network... nothing else.
...And BE SURE that you get all the proper power connections to your mobo! (You should've taken digital pix of it BEFORE you disconnected everything.
) There are TWO, sometimes THREE power connectors from the PSU to your mobo! (In the case of three: That's because there's a small, four-pin connector that connects to the larger, multi-pin mobo connector from the PSU....)
Then see if it powers up. (By checking for continuous CPU fan spin....)
