Team Fortress 2

I didn't see a topic for this game so I though, "why not?".  This game is easily one of the best FPS games out there today. A strictly multiplayer game, it has two teams, RED and BLU, fight each other in various game modes, such as CTF, Capture Points, Arena and so on, to achieve victory over the other team. There are 9 classes that are available for play:

The Spy: Able to turn invisible, disguise as members of the other team and backstab them (literally) for an instant kill. He is also able to disable and destroy enemy sentries with the sapper. Carries a knife, revolver, sapper and a disguise kit.
The Sniper: Shoots enemies with a bolt-action sniper-rifle. When in the zoom, a charge meter fills, which allows an instant kill on an enemy when the meter is fully charged and the shot is a headshot. Also carries an SMG and a machete for closer range
The Medic: Heals team mates with the medi-gun. The medi-gun charges up as it heals. When the charge reaches 100%, it allows for an "Ubercharge" which makes the Medic and whoever he is healing invulnerable for 10 seconds as long as the Medi-gun is still out. Also as a needle gun and bone saw for self defense.
The Demoman: Has two types of explosives. One is a grenade launcher that lobs grenades that explode shortly after or on contact with an enemy. The other is a sticky launcher that fires sticky grenades that attach to any surface (except enemies). These are remotely detonated by the Demoman and disappear if the Demoman dies when they are out.
The Heavy: The iconic character of the game. Carries a gigantic minigun that can fire 200 rounds without stop. The slowest character but has the most health. He uses a shotgun and his fists for secondary weapons
The Engineer: He builds sentries, automated turrets that can be upgraded 2 times to fire rockets and machine guns. Also builds dispensers that dispense health and ammo to teammates. Lastly, he builds teleporters for the team. Uses a wrench to build items faster and a shotgun for self defense.
The Pyro: This guy uses a flamethrower for a weapon. He can ignite cloaked spies and other enemies and cause continuous damage to them. Flamethrower also has a compression blast that reflects enemy rockets and grenades, and is also able to toss nearby enemies backwards. Uses a shotgun and a fire axe as other weapons.
The Soldier: the soldier has a specialized rocket launcher that holds 4 rounds. Is able to rocket jump by jumping while firing a rocket at his feet at the same time. Secondary weapons are a shotgun and a shovel.
The Scout: the fastest unit. Able to double jump and change direction in mid air. Carries a scatter gun, a stronger and faster variant of the shotgun. Carries a pistol and a baseball bat.

The PC version has constant updates to it along with unlockable weapons for the classes (6 of the 9 classes have unlockable weapons). The game also is a break from the realistic like style with its cartoonish look and also goes back to having a health bar instead of having recharging health/shields like in CoD or Halo.

So basically, its a great game, though not exactly recommended for the younger audiance, as the game has Sprays, images that can be placed on walls that are picked by the user, and Voice chat, both of which can contain un-suitable material.

One last thing, buying the game forces you to install a program called Steam. Its a free program that allows you to buy games online, chat with other Steam users (optional) and display your profile info (which you need for the game). Said profile info can be hid, only displaying your screen-name in the game.

So yeah, its pretty much the best $20 you can spend on a FPS (except maybe Halo  :shades: )
So discuss

thanks for the sig Tanxs1

I play Combat Arms and Alliance of Valiant Arms.

Both are fun games. Except when the hackers come ingame and OPK everyone... >.>

Check a few pages back, I have a full review of it and the rest of the Orange Box here somewhere.
