Sorry guys, I'm afraid you're all wrong....
The Cuda is a high performance car built by the old Plymouth brand of Chrysler. The Barracuda is the base vehicle, the luxury model was the Grand coupe, and the HiPo model was the Cuda. Production was halted after 1974 due to rising gas and insurance prices dropped sales numbers too low.
I chose the name Cuda because, well, I own one..lol. I have a 1971 model. This picture is exactly what mine will look like if I ever get back to restoring it. Mine has the same factory options as the one in the photo. I also have a 1970 Superbee clone which is all done, pictures of that one are in the "Post your ride" post in the multimedia section.
I would post a few old photos of my cuda, but all my pictures of it predate digital cameras !!!!! No kidding!!!
Great question Halomaster, I always love talking about mopar cars....
