this is the place tell all of bungie's newest game, reach.
-The new elites in reach will be tougher than any others. bungie has described them as mini godzillas.
-elites will also speak in their average alien language since this takes place before halo:ce.
-grunts will have a new methane tank on their backs kinda cylinder shaped
-The player will be a spartan in a group of spartans known as noble team.
-warthog turrets now overheat
-assault rifles will have a new, sleeker look.
-now insted of the average melee assasination,you will do a special move with a knife stabbing an elite.
-released in fall of 2010
-the playable character is noble 6 the new member of the team
-the other members are Carter-A259, the leader,Kat-320 ,second in command,jorge-052 and emile-239,heavy weapon specialists, and jun-66 the marksman
-a new vehicle, the falcon ,will be really awesome!it can carry 1 driver,2 gunners with machine guns on the side.and 4 passengers in its troop bay.it is said  to be even better than the hornet of halo 3.
-a new alien,a variant of the jackal called a skirmisher will be featured
-reach will feature a new shotgun with faster reload,a new unsc grenade launcher,a new sniper like kind of weapon thats similar to the sniper rifle and the battle rifle,redesigned assault rifle as said above,the newest sniper featuring a new and improved scope,the needler rifle which does not follow its target and is more sniper based and fires a single shot,the plasma repeater is a plasma rifele but improved,the new focus rifle is another covenant sniper which is supposed to have a beam similar to a sentinel beam,and finally the plasma launcher which is very similar to the fuel rod cannon.
-now the player will have new abilities like sprinting,evading and my personal favorite,the armor lock, which gives you invincibility at the cost of mobilty,spartans also have jetpacks.

You have no idea how much I missed that ability in the previous Halo games. It always annoyed the heck out of me that Masterchief and Spartan IIs in general can and did sprint really, REALLY fast in the books but only moved that slow-ish in the games. Glad to hear that we can now sprint across the battlefield.

And nice collection of (hopefully) facts, btw. :)

i got most of them from wikipedia and bungie's site.
lol
-on live multiplayer there are 3 types of battles to be in.spartan vs spartan,spartan vs elite,and elite vs elite.no longer mixed in teams.the differences are that spartans have all the armor abilities i mentioned above except the evade ability, but elites are faster have better shields and evade.
-the spike grenade and the incidenary grenade will not return
-the spirit dropships of combat evolved are back!
-bungie has said that it will be featuring large maps in the campaign supposedly giving you that old feeling of ce
-there are 3 versions of the game u can buy,standard edition which features the game and its average components,then there is the limited edition which features the game plus an ONI-themed Case & Artifact Bag and exclusive in-game sanghelli armor.the last is the legendary edition which features everything above plus exclusive in game flaming spartan helmet for live plus a noble team statue and a UNSC themed case.

-just to stop any rumors, when u hear someone talk about halo 4 there refering to this lol
-this is not 100% confirmed but ive seen screen shots where you can drive civvilian vehicles!
-i said before that the spirit will be returning and also the phantom will return
-it is believed that brutes as well as engineers will return

Hey guys! i got you all a few new updates so here you are:
-multiplayer will have much more customizable spartans.
-the amount of AI in a battle has been majorly increased so that  you could have 5 spartans, the player,8 marines againt like 30 covenant troops which will be massive considering the other halo games made.
-marines will now have a different kind of helmet
-maps will be much larger.
-characters and AI will have new human like movements.
-according to bungie this game is so awesome that shooting a wall is awesome(doubt it)
-new gamemodes are arena,stockpile,invasion,generator defense,and headhunter.(for more info on the gamemodes go to http://www.bungie.net/projects/reach/article.aspx?ucc=variants&cid=25862 )
-there is info on the new maps at the website above
-it's confirmed that the gravity hammer,scorpion tank,banshee,wraith,ghost,warthog,magnum,rocket launcher,energy sword,needler,plasma pistol,sniper rifle,and assault rifle will be returning.
-the banshee will have a new wing design.

The info on the playlists is very good. Thank you for that (and also all the other info).  :)

I particularly like Invasion, although I'm already afraid that it's going to be a rather unpopular gametype. If I got the info right, players start out with a pre-determined set of weapons and grenades, and none of the weapons have been popular in previous Halo games: plasma pistol (only popular in Halo2 to use it in the infamous "noob combo"), plasma rifle, needler, assault rifle. I guess that there'll be other weapons placed on the map that you can pick up, or at least I hope so.

Without wanting to turn this into a rant, I grew bored of Bungie's spray-and-pray gameplay a long time ago. Not that I dislike weapons like the assault rifle by itself, I just think it's stupid that you can score a lethal headshot only with some weapons and not others. When a bullet hits an opponent whose shields are down, it shouldn't matter at all from what weapon that bullet was fired.  ::)

That's how I felt about Halo: ODST. I couldn't say, "I dislike ODST because of this and that", it was just a general feeling. Then I still got the game 1 1/2 weeks ago as part of bundle, and I played it. Much to be embarrassment I actually like that game. It's not as good as Halo 1 - 3, but it's still a fun game.

Since I don't have an Xbox Live Gold membership and thus can't play online, I couldn't participate at the Reach beta, but from what I've seen and read on the interwebs, I'm more interested in Reach than I was in ODST. That probably means I'm going to dislike the game once I get it.  :bang: :winkgrin:

ifeel the same about ODST. i thought it was gonna be toally awesome but i was highly dissapointed.im not saying that its horrible but it just wasnt good. i loved the halo3 map pack that came with it though. too bad nomore MC  :'( take off your hats in respect ........chief will be remembered as the guy that made us all buy an x-box.... :chief:

-first thing, reach is supposed to be very different ....which can be good or bad .......wait and see.
-there will be skulls found throughout levels as halo has
-the difficultys are the same (easy,normal,heroic,legendary)
-most of the members of noble team are SPARTAN IIIs which is new since masterchief was a spartan II

anyway im sorry not much info yet i gtg be back another time with more info

wow no one has posted here in ages anyway i got new info for you all!

-it is confirmed that brutes also appear as enemies
-by recent screenshots ive seen  Hunters seem much bigger
-the difference between grunt minors and majors is not only differenciated by color but by shape of methane tank
-armor on enemies if now even more complex
-strangly,i have seen a render of a brute major with a grav hammer.......
-is that an elite with a jetpack i see.......
-there is something new called a target locater i found
-scorpion tanks still have machine gun TURRETS like halo 3 which is strange since this is prequel to CE.
-once again i am very excited bout' the falcon
-OMG reach has firefight
-in only one level in campaign you can dogfight in space in a sabre fighter
-the new motion sensor is 3 dimensional  :o
-the health system is similar to the system of ce and odst.
-shields recharge slower than in halo 3
-i recently discovered a list of game modes:Campaign; Co-op; Multiplayer; Firefight; Forge; Theater; Unnamed fully-featured level-editor. unnamed fully-featured level editor?
-the games soundtrack is nearly finished! hope its good!
-the new object in the game:target locater can mark targets for orbital bombardment. uh oh get ready to actually die in halo !
-an ability called drop shield is a shield that you get in and it can heal you
-one of odst's main characters edward buck will appear in reach
-the new unsc grenade launcher must reload after each shot. :'(

im happy to say that i have the exact release date of Halo:Reach

september 14,2010!


i got some news also.
-in firefight you have more options like the number and types of enemies.
-some game modes like generator defense are playable in firefight
- Heroes actor Greg Grunberg will voice a character in the game
-Martin O'Donnell returns to score Reach
-Reach will be the last Halo game developed by original Halo developer Bungie. Future Halo games will be overseen by Microsoft subsidiary 343 Industries.so there is still a possibility of more halo games just not by bungie
-The HUD will highlight environmental features and overlay information about them
-Reach also includes the ability to select your character's gender, with male and female each having a separate character model
-Like in Halo 3, the armor permutations will only be aesthetic and not affect gameplay
- Halo: Reach will not feature any kind of tactical squad mechanic
-Bungie is using a completely redone version of the Halo engine for Halo: Reach, with no component left untouched
-Halo: Reach also features a new animation system, which smoothly blends movement between standing, walking and running as well as jumps, grenade throws and firing
- Weapon effects will be amplified to be more powerful and visceral than before, giving the effects a more serious tone. Human weapons will sound more powerful and emit smoke and showers of sparks. Plasma bolts will now burn through material as they hit, and explosions will throw clouds of dirt and debris around.
-As of now, it has been stated that the Halo Theme will not be available in the game, but there may be some foreshadowing of Halo themes
-did i mention that you will be able to drive civilian vehicles?

hey i got a little info on the new game halo reach!

-machine gun turrets look different around the barrel(yes there detachable  :winkgrin: )
-rocket launchers lock on (just like halo 2) ;D
-this is the first halo game where you fight elites and brutes at the same time(without killing eachother like halo 2)lol
-brutes dont have all the body armor like halo 3  :woot:
-The plasma repeater's rate of fire will slow as it is fired and the weapon heats up. This can be solved by manually venting the rifle with the reload button, which can be done all at once or gradually. However, as the weapon overheats and the rate of fire slows, the accuracy of the weapon will increase.

hey all! i got some more halo reach info for you!

-the second in command Kat-320 has a bionic arm
-Reach will feature multiplayer support via Xbox Live, System Link, and Split screen.
-Reach features "Loadouts", a feature allows players to pick a predefined choice of weaponry at spawn.
- In order to give multiplayer a longer lasting appeal, players are now rewarded with "credits", which players can spend on aesthetic armor customizations
-Rather than scripting enemy encounters, the developers focused on a more open world or sandbox approach to battles
-dont tell anyone buuuuuuttt......REACH WILL FALL! :ssh:
-the developers were planning a much more "grandiose" marketing effort than ODST
-McFarlane, who had produced toys for Halo 3, created a line of 5-inch action figures.
