Changing the loading Splash screen for GIMP
« on: June 28, 2010, 08:13:44 PM »
Hey guys,
just a miscelanious thing for GIMP: how to change your splash(loading)screen

its really easy to do and can look much better than the original GIMP loading screen.

How to change your GIMP Loading Screen

1. get a picture you like or open a picture that you already have.

2. Click Save as...

3. Now find your main GIMP folder (example: C:/Program files/GIMP-2.0) then go into the folder called "Share"

4. Click Share>Gimp>2.0>Images

5. Now just save over the picture called: gimp-splash.png (you may want to make a backup of this in another folder just in case)

6. Close GIMP, re-open it and your newly saved picture should now come up (along with the usual loading screen writing)

i made a custom one...

^^ No name for you :ninja: ^^
