Runescape!!

I know I could just look on Runescape's website for this first question, but I feel like making it public here so others are informed.

Can we take familiars into the Barrows?  I mean, 6-8 of my cb levels are from summoning, and it would be a great asset there.

And btw, I'm cb lvl 84, with 61 att, 59 str, 70 def, 70 range (I can use crystal now!), 54 mage, 51 pray, 68 hp.  Can I do Barrows without dying????  If so, how far should I go?

you can do it preaty easily actually. Use the Slyer Dart spell, its really good at the barrows.

If you have 55 Slayer Goalie, then the Slayer Dart spell should work quite nicely for you. You've got 70 range so killing Ahrim should be a doddle (provided that you use your Prayer wisely)

If you haven't got 55 Slayer, then you could try some of the blast spells, but I've never used them at Barrows, so I can't say whether they'd be effective enough or not to go all they way in 1 trip, though you can always teleport out if you get into trouble. Only one way to find out

Err, does no one else melee them because they're level 107 and don't have high enough slayer.................... or is that just me

I see people taking full Varracs and doing it like that. The first time I did barrows, I used blast spells, then I switched to slayer dart...

So i can take out Ahrim easy, it's just the meleers that may prove to be tough where I'm at right now.  I only have about 35 slayer, so i can't use slayer dart yet.  I'll have to get that up.

But about my first question, which hasn't been answered:  Can I take familiars (summoned creatures) into the barrows?  If so, what familiars would you suggest?  My summoning is 38 for reference.

going for firecape tomorrow night, right now im degrading my crystal bow so i can make a crystal shield, i already have a seed so i will have 2 shields for the cave. other than that everything is ready. wish me luck!

no im using crystal shields and rune c'bow with addy bolts (its cheaper and more efficient  ) with 20 super restores, sara brews and a range potion while wearing:
t-helm
v-skirt
d-boots
blk dhide top
d-gloves
ava's device
glory ammy
c'shield
rune c'bow
i think i'll be able to do it, i have 80 range so i think it will go smoothly.

no its not my friend just did it with the rune c'bow and addy bolts, plus most people do it with karil's x'bow. im getting ready to do it very very soon
