Found out a way to make profit in f2p crafting and mage

high alching rune square shields gives a profit of 53gp each time

and buying a gold bar and a cut emerald makes a profit crafting emerald rings

role on loadsa money and xp

(well not loads but a small profit for relatively fast xp with mage, quite slow with crafting though

Having to train ranged to get the level needed for a quest so i can complete my hard clue scroll... it had better be worth it once I've got 60 ranged, completed two long quests and started a third (regicide, roving elves, mourning's ends I), but then I need ranged anyway for Curse of Arrav.

Actually ranging is quite cool. Already with only 54 ranged and 74 strength, blue d'hide armour, "barrows" gloves and amulet of power, iron bolts with zanik's crossbow special has hit 244 - my highest hit ever.
