Screen Shots, mine are dark

I'm having trouble taking screen shots while I'm playing Halo.
I can take the shots alright, but when I go to process them they are all dark and very little detail.

Does anybody else have this problem?  Has anybody fixed this problem?

Below you will find 2 photo's, the first one is a screen shot of my paint shop using my keyboard print screen button.

The second is one from in game using Xfire screen shot program.  I even tried to use my print screen button iin gameand those pictures are the same as the Xfire.  I'm not thinking its anything to do with the Xfire program.

The game isn't this dark, incase you were wondering.

You likely actually have the game setting very dark, but your monitor (settings) turned up very high.

Hence you SEE it as being brighter, while in reality - to the game - it's a lot darker than that.

Turn UP the gamma setting ("lighten") in Halo a few clicks.  It might look washed out on your screen now, so you may need to turn your monitors Brightness down.

Now try a few snaps!
