Best Co-op game i've ever played was Army of Two The 40th day. Its completely centered around Co-op gameplay. DEFINATELY worth the buy

For 360, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is awesome up to 4 players. Halo 3 is really fun when you mess with the gravity/speed settings, makes for some very interesting gameplay. :) Worms is also a must, though I'd have to check whether that's a 360 game or just original Xbox.

Rock Band above all others - though it's expensive to get all the instruments. Soooo much fun. :)

Good luck and I'd also appreciate some recommendations for 4 players+! Here at the house 4 out of 8 of us (including myself) have Xbox 360s and multiple controllers. ;D Hooray for living with geeks!

If you have the money or already have the game, (I just lost) Halo Reach is really fun on split screen or system link to play with your buds in the room with you, instant "lulz" ensue in 2v2's and 3v3's in my experience at least.  Not so much XBL tbh.  Too many little kids...

Also the WaW Zombie mode is very fun to see which pair can get the furthest, and also fun to watch if you aren't playing so that's another good one.

The best 4 player cooperative FPS game I've played so far as well. The "Mutation" option can provide with some very hilarious game modes. "Taaaaaaannnks!" was loads of fun. I hope they will bring it back some day.

I have to completely agree on this one. They both provide many great laughs, along with many custom made maps that are available for free.

the only bad thing about army of two is: its impossible to play single player because the ally AI is so bad that you want get anywhere and its more like army of one and 1/4
