Best Music in a Game
« on: November 12, 2010, 04:53:23 PM »
List your top 5 games that have awesome music:

Mine:
1.)  Starcraft II
2.)  Final Fantasy XI
3.)  The Sims 1-3, awesome soundtracks in all, but not-so-much in Sims 2
4.)  Halo 3 (cant stand the Reach soundtrack... Ugh...)
5.)  Fallout 3 (only this low because GNR gets very old very fast)

Edit:  Oh, and Maplestory of course!

Final Fantasy IX & Dragon Age: Origins are the first ones that comes to mind. Everytime I hear the loading soundtrack in Dragon Age: Origins I feel like playing the game all over again. I'm usually never able to play a game more than once, but I probably completed Dragon Age: Origins four or five times, with very short breaks between them.

Galaxy News Radio didn't have a wide range of music... but it was good!

Dirt 2 (decent)
gran Tourismo 4 had some pretty decent tracks on it
Saints Row 2 (generally with a decent selection)

Halo 2's soundtrack rocked with the remix of the original halo theme, and blow me away by breaking benjamin RULED! As per Reach the soundtrack was....meh.....only good song was Lone Wolf.

As far as epic music goes, Shadow of the Colossus has some amazing tracks

But my favorite soundtrack has to go to Burnout Revenge, as the most fitting soundtrack to any game I've ever played and includes a lot of stuff that fits my music tastes

I wouldn't be able to name a top 5 for you even if I tried, too many great songs

Thank you Tanger!
