The KOS, ROCKS and CE servers have always been temporary, but that's easy to say now that they're gone
These types of servers come and go depending on interest. Usually it's just BFM members who play in them occasionally, they (the servers) don't really see a lot of activity and eventually the server is cancelled/taken down due to lack on interest/activity. We had a KOS server going for a while, and it only recently went away. Maybe another will pop up later.
