Any teachers here?
« on: January 31, 2013, 01:59:36 PM »
Hi everyone,

I am currently applying for teacher training, and have an application to submit. I have had a few people read mine, but, being relations or people that know me well, it's hard to get a true critique!

Are there any teachers here in the BFM community? I would love to be able to PM you my application for you to destroy.  :cop:

It's a word document, only 2 pages long.

Thanks,
~A

"Only 2 pages? You need more experience" - or some other ridiculous excuse :P

Other than that, I can't provide any more feedback.

Moi? Moar? MOOOAAARRR????  :clint:

It's a small part of the application to answer the question 'Why do I want to teach', with reference to the skills I can bring to the role. It's meant to be prose and a more human part of the app. Qualifications, work experience, etc. are in different sections. =P

Also, ty for your PM Fenix, much appreciated.

You may already know this: Here in the states most school systems have some type of "Vision", "Statement of Philosophy", or "Mission Statement" on their web pages. Where I work the individual schools also have a statement like that. These statements provide a good checklist of educational strategies and terms you should include in your submissions.
