Reminds me of the time one winter at my midwestern US university when classes got suspended due to a horrible ice storm.
Those of us who made it to the cozy warm classroom stood sipping hot chocolate while watching poor folks outside trying to walk on the glazed ice over all the concrete sidewalks!
P.S. As a group of budding Engineering students might, we did a study-by-observation to determine the "least stable configuration for college students treading glare ice." A: Women carrying books and a coffee. Our preliminary conclusion as to why this was: It's the impractical shoes many of them were wearing in combination with keeping their heads up instead of watching the ground in front of them as they walked.
