Hello yall! Seeing as how many of you are tech experts, *tips hat to Mxy*, i thought this would be a great place to ask for help.
So i am on a new computer, and it is a Mac OS 10.58. I just bought the Halo Mac game from Amazon, for $23 dollars, and it installed and runs beautifully. But i am having troubles with the whole patching process.
Certain websites that offer the patch download, tell me i need to have a Halo Universal Binary program to use their patch. But I do not have the Universal Binary, because I have the disc.
The other 2 issues i have are this.
1, I got to a file through a website that gave me a Strings.dll file and a Haloded.exe and a Halo.exe script. So is the patch a Strings.dll script? If so, where do i put that? Because the only folders that i can put them into would be, Maps, Movies, and Shaders. And the only one that would make a little sense to me would be to put it into the Maps folder. When i tried running the game like that, it gave me a list of 2 more servers than what i had without the patch.
I was talking to a mate who runs Halo 1 for Mac, and he says to join servers, he usually needs to enter the Direct IP. So it tried that, and it did not work. Because a window popped up in the game saying, Unable to Connect.
The 2nd issue i have, is that i downloaded the supposed patch through a website called, Patches-Scrolls. It seemed a little fishy, but no errors came up when i tried it. What i got from it was this. A script called, Patch_109.exe. And once again, i have no clue what to do with that.
Any help would be very welcomed.
