No doubt this is a major jump in elec cars. The 5 drawbacks to the buying public
being price, range, performance ,cost and ease of maintenence. The major two being
range and performace. Id suggest for long road trips a small turbine. There are mini
turbine's that can be had in the 2000 dollar range that produce as much a 4hp to drive a generator that could be extend the range of the car considerably. And a turbine will burn pretty much anything.
I'd like to see this company produce conversion kits to reduce the cost. Theres
many light cars that would be fairly easy to do this to. Also I'm a firm beliver in the KISS ( keep it simple stupid) princible when engineering anything. Remember it will have to be maintained, diagnosed and repaired. Which is why I own older cars that
I can work on. LOL for someone like me to even consider an elec car is a milestone.
Id really like to build something like this. Theres tons of kit car's that look as good or better than the tesla, possibly even lighter with better suspension and aerodynamics. Hummm how bout a electric aluminum framed countach?
