Allastor, I have removed your video link as your reflection was visible at one point -- we ask that no-one post images of themselves here -- the removed video showed a kernel panic occurred while playing Halo. -- Daigoro

have any mac users experienced this

Are you running Tiger, or Leopard?  Is this the first time this has happened?  What were you doing when it crashed?  Were you in campaign mode, or multiplayer?

Forum mods, this should be in Tech support.

To add to Wizz's most excellent questions, what is the version number of Halo that you're running?
Sincerely,
Daigoro

If I may throw some additional questions: What kind of video card to you have?  Do you play full screen or in a window?  Is it reproducible?

I don't think I have ever seen a true kernel panic on any version of OS X (the multilingual screen).  Is that what you see (I have to ask since Daigoro removed the video)?  I have had the window server lock up on me on a number of occasions.  If it really is a kernel panic, I would suspect a driver of some sort.

Also, you can look here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106227 on Apple's tech support site.  Down toward the bottom of that page is a link here that shows how to log the message causing the kernel panic.

The kernel panic that he saw is the Macintosh equivalent of the Windows' Blue Screen of Death.

I've managed to get that a couple times in Tiger.  But then again, I do a lot of stuff to my Mac that most users would not do.  Haven't seen it yet on Leopard (knock on wood).
