[Nice (bad) pun!]

Um, 2 things:

1) There is absolutely NO POINT in having a fan in such a system....

2) Explain to me how you'd ever deal with such a potentially messy situation is you ever had to work on the innards of the thing, and deal with the necessary "oil changes" that you'd have to do as the oil went bad from the heat.  (I fugure that's be about 3 months, tops....)

As a result: I would never "trust" and "cool" ideas from these jokers!

I think that the potential for over clocking there makes up for those problems Mxy. I know that if I had a system set up in a tank of oil I would overclock the daylights out of it. I would also set it up with a pump connected to a remote radiator/fan combo to allow for some serious cooling. I think you could get some crazy performance out of it.

On a side note, if you ever had to service it you could remove it from the tank and use something to hold it over the tank while the oil drained from it.
Currently traveling through the unknown times in my life. I will be back when i find myself.

Thanks for the sig BFM_H@ngm@n

There's also no point in putting the power supply in there either.  The PSU does not get hot enough from normal, or even overclocking, that it needs to be oil-cooled.

I would not want to do it just for the reason of having a tank of vegtable oil there waiting for whatever accident that would cause it to be broke and have traces of it haunting you for the next ten years. In other videos that these guys do, they do end up telling you to remove all fans.

I would do it, just so I could overclock my processor to 1000000000000000 Ghz, then I would deep fry some jalapeño poppers in the oil. And when I was done with that I would drain the pc and pour the oil into my bio-diesel car and go for a ride.

You can use distilled water instead. It works until a little dust gets in it, then everything fries and your house burns down. I mean I haven't confirmed this personally.
