It's really easy
to mess up a Haiku, man.
Shall we try again?

(okay, that didn't
make any sense to me.  So
do I try again?)
You blame me?  Remember it had to get past 10 other players before I saw the ball.

Thanks to Spidey for this sig!                                                                                                                  .

(This isn't in haiku form just letting you know)

I'm planning on writing one of my college essays in a series of haikus, if it's really good I'll post it here

Thank you Tanger!

Permission granted to allow one and only one post by Wid-Get that does NOT follow the "something to do with the previous haiku" rule.

(And if someone turned in a haiku-style essay to me that didn't meet the same content standard - or better, in fact - I'd dock 'em a grade....  ::) So don't skimp, Wid-Get!)

Well, I don't know Floyd.
I find Haikus easy to
write - or do I rea- ?

Okay, that was bad.
Ending with a half-formed word
Kind of looks silly.

Technically, Widge,
I did it deliberately.
For "comic" effect.

Also, so's you know,
"Deliberately" is said thus:
"Del-lib-brut-lee" - four!!

What I mean to say,
is that my first haiku had
the correct pattern.

Now, now, 360
The preferred form is more like
de⋅lib⋅er⋅ate⋅ly....

Mxy, as you know,
English is quite flexible,
syllables are too!

For example, I
say "lie-bree" but in the States,
it is "lie-brair-ee".
