Runescape!!

If free trade and the wild are brought back, Runescape will at least be close to the game it used to be.  The whole beauty of it was that it had bad graphics, tons of botters, scammers, and hackers.  It was a free for all, that's what made Runescape awesome for me.  Now they have improved graphics and restricted trading (hopefully for not much longer though) and gotten really strict on other similer things; so it will at least be getting closer to the genius game it used to be.

If they put it on a new engine, and altered the controls to WSAD format (like WoW) it would be a legitimate game.  But right now it's a point-and-click game with improved graphics that still runs out of your browser and that just doesn't light my fire.

It seems a rather odd thing to celebrate a game because of all the people cheating at it...

For myself I think both free trade and the wilderness return are probably good things, though I'll be scared of pkers if I do go into the wildy, and I'm not sure how trade will work without a GE. I did play RS before it was introduced but only as a free player and I rarely traded much.

Ive played recently and got realy bored of it as I usualy do.  I can hardly stand a month of Runescape (I bought memb).  I also want free trade to come back but unsure about wildy.  Here are my levels...

yes thats right 18 full days and 14 hours wasted on RS.  WE have a couple of people in AHE that play RS.  The best player of RS that I've seen in AHE is [AHE]Regan

By the way guys, I happened to be in Mod Mmg's clan chat yesterday. He came in and CONFIRMED that what we already knew, which was the wilderness and free trade are definitely returning. He said that it is top priority and he will have people working on it around the clock to get it back as soon as possible. He stated today's (monday's) announcement may include a detailed development plan and timeline.

Just some early inside news for you!

We already knew. We've known since that first rigged petition, they only want to give us, the minority, and even the ones that wanted it back in the first place the illusion that we had a say in the matter.

I think that's totally unfair. If the vote had gone the other way, what do you think the chances are that JAgex would have been able to carry on with their plans? None.

I'm of course under no illusions that this was suggested to us on a whim, of course they'll have discussed it for a while and even worked through how it might be done. But a 70% "no" vote would certainly have put a hold on that - at least in the form it's in today.
