Having a bit of trouble connecting to Vent, Ive been waiting on my computer to come back in from the shop, had a problem with it not wanting to run Windows, and I was wondering if there is a problem with Vent or if it's my computer again. Sorry it has been so long guys, hope everyone is doing well :D

You can always check the BFM Vent server status - and even who's IN IT ATM! - by going to the BFM website and clicking on the Vent IP in the right-hand menu.

(Hint: "No response from server." means any of: The Vent server is down, you cannot connect to it for some other reason, or the BFM folks have forgotten to update the website with a newer Vent IP  :siderofl: .   ;D )

Well after getting a new account on vent with small tags, i can't move to channels manually. an error message pops up saying i am not allowed x_X.

if anyone can help please PM me.

Im stranded in the lobby of vent. lolol.

This sounds like an Administrative problem, not a Technical one.

You'll have to ask a BFM officer, methinks.

i cant hear vent phonetics anymore? just happened a few weeks ago to where all i hear is ex. BFM_Tanxs1 has joined the channel or left the channel. So i cant hear when people just connect to vent. if anyone could help that would be great  ;D

Look under the "Events" tab under the "Setup" button.

Assure that "Users connect to server" and "Users disconnect from server" are set to "Custom."

Select the "OK" button and see if that fixes it.

is it possible to get rid of the static from people i hear. When deadmeat talks, i hear him for a few seconds then cuts out any way of fixing???

Correct.


The last two times this was "fixed" it was the result of the SPEAKING PERSON ON VENT getting a new microphone....
