I have been doing some research, read some reviews, and have decided to get the:

Intel Core i7 - 2600K 3.40 GHz Quad-Core.   $314.99

That's basically all your display ports for things like monitors, projectors, etc.  Pretty much you will be plugging those things in to your video card because the card has ports on it.

if you want a good graphics card withing that price range, try tigerdirect.com. i managed to get a Nvidia 9800 for 50$!
